The early years in Leipzig and Switzerland were characterized by intensive learning of anatomy. Prof. Dr. Eggli, the head of anatomy in Bern at the time, made it possible for me to complete a scientifically oriented thesis in collaboration with the hand surgery department at the Inselspital Bern and also gave me the opportunity to experience the start of my professional life as an assistant in the dissection course.
Responsible for around 30 students per semester, I "sweated" anatomy for 4 years, in the courses for physiotherapists and on tours through the anatomical collection no less.

In 2004 I came to the Institute for Plastination in Heidelberg and was taught by Dr. Gunther von Hagens was similarly challenged and supported. Benefiting from my experiences in Bern, I now had to learn plastination and do it quickly, according to Dr. Gunther von Hagens, namely as the person responsible. I spent a lot of time in China learning and was able to transfer the disc plastination technique from China via Heidelberg to Guben. A huge task.

In addition, my tasks included looking after the exhibition specimens from "Body Worlds" worldwide and the plastination of large animals (e.g. elephants, giraffes) and an exciting time with valuable experiences came to an end in 2012. I am all the more pleased that the manufacturer BIODUR Products GmbH continues to support me as a client and professional friend.

In addition to ANPLACON, from 2013 to 2023 I performed similar tasks at the Anatomical Institute of the University of Zurich as during my time in Bern and also had a plastination laboratory available to produce specimens for the training of students in the first 4 semesters of medical studies.
